In May of 1995 Steve Katsandres along with help from his family took a leap and fulfilled his dream to have his own bar serving great food and the coldest beer in town topped off  with excellent customer service! Many might not know that Bad Albert's Tap & Grill was named after his cool cat "Albert" and weighed in at slim 16-22 lbs depending on who you talk to. Steve has had his share of awards for food and service over the years but one thing I know he is very proud of is his amazing customers at Bad Albert's! "Bad Albert's is a special place"  "Bad Albert's welcomes all"  "Bad Albert's food is great" are just a few examples of what our customers tell us on a regular basis. In 2011 Steve sold Bad Albert's to other Ballard natives who in 2011 completely renovated the bar and reopened on December 3, 2011. The new owners opened with the same staff including the head chef and kitchen MGR Marco Abrego. Marco has been with Bad Albert's for over 12 years and continues to cook up some of the best dishes in Ballard! Bad Albert's has a full bar, 12 TV's, great local beer & wine selection with award winning food. Come down, check us out and see what the customers at Bad Albert's rave about. Don't be surprised if you see Steve hanging about, he stops in almost daily to say hi to his old warriors (staff) and wonderful friends (customers).
