Dinosaur BBQ always delivers quality and this location was no different. We had reservations for 8 pm on a Saturday night and the place was jammed. We were seated by 8:05 though, with a friendly waitress attending to us. We were allowed to set our pace on ordering but the food and service was prompt. We all had different choices from the menu, and we were all full and happy when dinner was over. Tasty BBQ, yummy sides, and cold drinks; enough food that we had a snack for the next day. The restaurant itself is pretty cool, with lots of interesting art and photos on the wall to look at. Clean washrooms. A really great finish to an afternoon of music in the park.

This is a really cool BBQ joint. The building is an old train station that's been revived and turned into a restaurant. The upper floor has been left almost original but seems to be used only for events. The bands play outside and there is parking for motorcycles. Really nice bikes park to listen to the bands and have drinks. The barbecue was good, BUT the barbecued sausage isn't sausage, it's Italian sausage. The waiter asked how my food was so I told him I didn't like the sausage, 2 minutes later be brought out ribs, handed them to me, and said "try these." A+ for customer service. Try the beef brisket. it comes with Jalapenos, very different.

Second visit to Rochester and I finally got to stop in to eat at Dinosaur. The building is just awesome! Coming from Florida, I loved the old Brock and wood... It was very cozy in a historic way. Now more importantly... The food! Got a pick 3 BBQ plate and the near was outstanding. The dry rub ribs were perfect... Perfect flavor that want overpowering and the near skipped off the bone with the slightest effort. The brisket had the signature pink ring and the pork was juicy, tender and tasty. The plate's prove were extremely generous and sav Ed me the expenses of buying breakfast the next morning. The staff was attentive and facility was week kept. Will be visiting again on my next trip to Rochester.

There isn’t a more unique dining experience in Rochester than the Dinosaur. The building, aesthetics, location, etc all ooze a rich fun history. And the food is mouthwatering. A super busy place, too busy sometimes. We’ve used their pick-up catering service for our parties at home - same great food without the crowds. Love the Dinosaur!

The Dinosaur BBQ has been a fixture in Rochester for many years now. It seems like every visitor to this city has to visit the dinosaur at least once. They have some excellent Blues and rock style bands play at the bar area or outside and dancing goes on. the food isn't bad not the best barbecue you've ever had but perfectly passable. the atmosphere of this place is interesting too.
