My husband and I had not ate together for the days due to me traveling. When I got home it was my birthday and I wanted to eat at Jazz. We both had the full order of catfish, hush puppies and sweet potato fries. We each had a 1/2 & 1/2 tea to drink. Both of us in the Wee morning hours, me about 1:30 a.m. woke with severe stomach cramps and extremely ill. I tried to talk to the GM, but the ladies there would never put me thru to him. I am 100%positive we got some form of food poison from the food. BEWARE!!

Drove from the St. Louis area to meet our son from KC for lunch on a Saturday. My mom accompanied us. The fried pickles were delightful. My wife had alligator bites and my son had fried shrimp. Also excellent. My mom and I had lunch portions. The place was fairly busy for a Saturday lunch.

I had, overall, a very disappointing experience. Though sitting at the bar and seeing the bartender (and one server that was back there) taking plenty of time to text, wander around, eat, etc-- it took forever to not only get service, but for things like my drink to be delivered, order to be taken, etc. Also, I asked for advice on a few items as I was hoping to eat as much seafood as possible- I was advised the seafood pasta. A big plate of sub-Olive Garden quality pasta and sauce with, I kid you not, two forkfulls of baby (read: cheap) shellfish. I am advising other friends and colleagues that have expressed interest to avoid and go to Glenn's instead. One star: .5 for having Abita on tap and .5 for the fried oysters.
