August 15, 1977, Pete arrived in Elmsford... and stayed. Thirty-four years and six major renovations later, "PETE'S" Saloon & Restaurant has become a landmark for food and music in Westchester County. PETE'S is a place to "EAT". Under the premise that - "people must eat two or three times a day - and they may only be able to afford to dine once a week", Pete created an affordable, home cooked menu consisting of burgers, steaks, chops, and fresh seafood that is accessible to almost any person's daily budget.

Besides the food, PETE'S is also known for nightly entertainment schedule. As per Pete... "I still love music - and I hate a quiet bar... On occasion I even get to sit in."Whether it be the blues, funk, rock or even a psychic, PETE'S maintains a lively bar crowd long after other establishments have closed.

All in all, Pete also recognizes that the success of a business can only be measured by the quality of its employees. Many of his people have been there for 5, 10 and up to 22 years! His goal - "Big Guy willing... I gotta make 50 years."

Besides the restaurant, Pete has been active in other areas as well. In 1983 Pete became a certified scuba diver. He has since become a divemaster and taken up underwater photography winning awards and traveling extensively with his wife, daughter and dive buddies throughout the Caribbean and Pacific areas.

Diving also brought Pete onto another road. Shortly after joining "The Scuba Sports Club" of Westchester in 1992 he also volunteered for a not for profit satellite organization known as "Beneath the Sea". Through its programs, this association teaches children and adults about the conservation of our ocean environments. It is also recognized as putting on the largest annual consumer dive show in the United States. Pete has since become the Senior Director of Hospitality, acquired The Presidents Award, and has been voted on as a Board Trustee for this group.

Pete has also been an active member of the Westchester/Rockland Chapter of The New York State Restaurant Association. He served as president from 2002 - 2003 concurrently sitting on NYSRA state board as well.

Throughout the years "PETE'S" Saloon & Restaurant has supported and worked with many national organizations such as The Red Cross, Multiple Sclerosis, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association putting on events and raising funds. Locally, Pete is a member of the American Italian Club. He has also supported numerous sports leagues and village associations.
