The Cedar's mission is to promote inter-cultural appreciation and understanding through the presentation of global music and dance. The Cedar is committed to artistic excellence and integrity, diversity of programming, support for emerging artists, and community outreach.
About The Cedar
The Cedar Cultural Center (also known as the Cedar) is a highly eclectic music venue located in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The venue is known for hosting a wide variety of global roots, folk, indie, experimental, jazz, and blues artists, as well as films, spoken word performances, comedy, dances, and community events. The Cedar is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operated by a small professional staff in conjunction with the Board of Directors, and with assistance from a large pool of volunteers.
